Dharchula checkpoint opened, 66 entered, 23 left

The border bridge connecting Darchula and Darchula has been opened on Wednesday evening. With the opening of the pool, 66 Nepalis stopped in India have entered while 23 Nepalis have left India.


As per the agreement reached between the officials of Nepal and India, the citizens of both the countries have been allowed to cross. With the opening of the pool, 41 people from Darchula, 8 from Baitadi, one each from Kailali, Humla and Dadeldhura have entered. Similarly, 14 people from India have been brought to Nepal to stay in home quarantine saying that their relatives have passed away.

People from 8 local levels of Darchula have entered along with Pulekhule. According to the District Police Office, Darchula, 18 persons from Mahakali Municipality, 10 persons from Malikarjun Municipality, one each from Shailyashikhar Municipality, Apihimal Municipality, Beas Municipality, four persons from Marma Municipality, three persons each from Naugad and Duhu Municipality have entered Nepal.
