 Krishna Giri, Former Mayor of Janakpur passes away in Lalitpur

According to sources, Giri had heart problems and also was infected from Coronavirus.

He was brought to Kathmandu for treatment has passed away Tuesday night at Lalitpur based Mediciti Hospital 

The former mayor’s driver and aide too had contracted Covid-19. Both have recovered now.

He was also the owner of the Janakpur-based Rama Hotel. He had served as the mayor of Janakpurdham in the late 1980s.

Additionally, he also became chairperson of the Family Planning Association of Nepal, Janakpur branch, for 25 years. Giri was also a Mahasamiti member of the Nepali Congress. He is survived by two sons and wife.
