Delhi-Kathmandu Flights to Resume from Dec-17
According to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Governments of both countries have decided to resume regular flights along Kathmandu-New Delhi route under the ‘Air Transport Bubble Mechanism.
There will be two flights per day on the route, staring from December 17. National flag-carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and India’s Air India will fly on the route.
After flights were suspended on March 23, the government had resumed international flights from September 1. However, flights to three Indian destinations — New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore — were not opened due to high infection rate in India.
According to the press statement issued by the Indian Embassy, Nepal is all prepared to resume flights and has opened the booking system as per ‘Air Transport Bubble Concept’.
The Indian airline company has also opened booking for Kathmandu from today.
On the other hand, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Thailand have not resumed flights to Nepal yet.
