Air India flight bound to London crashed minutes after take off from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
As of the information available till now, Aeroplan for Air India flight AI-171 was Boeing 787-8 aircraft and was carrying 169 Indian and 53 British nationals as passenger.
The Air India flight was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner twin jet carrying a total of 230 passengers and 12 crew members with Pilot in Command Sumit Sabharwal and co-Pilot Clive Kunder. - The Hindu
As per Air India's official X handle, following message was posted.
Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident today after take-off.
The flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese nationals.
The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals.

Air India is giving its full cooperation to the authorities investigating this incident.
